Common Ground Voices is an international project choir initiated by the Eric Ericson International Choral Centre, consisting of equal groups of Arabs, Israelis, and Swedes, under the artistic direction of Professor Dr André de Quadros. The choir is part of EIC’s continuing Music & Humanity project (Musik & Medmänsklighet). Common Ground Voices aims to generate a meaningful collaboration through music, to explore and create music of shared human values and aspirations, to contribute to community music as an exercise of non-violence, and to utilize music as a springboard for meaningful discussion about social and political change. Common Ground Voices approaches performances with joy, hope, playfulness, and deep interaction with the audience.
