My ambition is to write about the development of the vocalensemble scene the last 25 years in the Nordic countries. What are some of the musical ingredients that form this vital field of singing? How have the professional and highprofile groups influenced the popularity and quality of groupsinging? In what ways is improvisation used as a startingpoint for collective creativity? In what way can society benefit from methods that are used within choir and ensemblesinging to create a sense of safe environment where a person can express him/herself as well as connect with a collective?
